Historic Pierce Point Ranch
Point Reyes National Seashore
Whenever I walk into this old cattle barn, I am struck by the light leaking through the boards at the ends of the barn. It feels cathedral-like to me, how light would radiate from stained glass windows at the altar end of a church.
This picture was made with a 4x5" pinhole camera on color transparency film, with a 40-minute exposure. I love how the soft pinhole feel lends to the old rustic nature of the barn and its lack of perfect edges and lines.
