This was one of those nights where many photographers lined the road leading to Hawk Hill, because this was one of those nights that a full moon rose above the eastern horizon just after sunset. It is a great spot to get a moonrise photograph over the Bay Bridge and the East Bay. I was there to try this myself for the first time. But as the night went on, and the moon got to be quite high in the sky, I kept making pictures of the bridge and the city, and this one ended up being my favorite. I love studying the details of the city and the waterfront along the bay in this image.
